Jane Bourne is an artist and designer working with textiles. Her involvement spans over 30 years. Her client list during that time and her design portfolio ranges in its diversity from elaborate painted abstracts for Missoni to specially commissioned wrapping paper for Leeds Castle.
Luxurious brushed tartan-mohair wraps overprinted with paisley pattern and sold to Liberty and Harvey Nichols formed the starting point of her experimentation with yarn. The Cloth Hall, based in the heart of Kent, offers an unusual range of accessories which are predominately handmade and include the signature Shredded Boa and It's Not Crochet scarves. Drawing on inspiration from floral and organic forms these inventive pieces offer the wearer a classic yet original and timeless idea.
